COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Through culturally-based initiatives and collaborative relationships with agency partners, the GPCR team extends its impact beyond classrooms and workshops by engaging directly with the community. Center for Prevention Services provides resource connections and creates a safe space where families and neighbors can come together to take practical steps toward safety and wellness. These community-centered events foster trust, open dialogue, and shared responsibility for prevention.

SAFE & SECURE STORAGE

Safe and Secure Storage provides a safe way to store medications. These events help prevent misuse, protect the environment, and offer information on safely storing and managing medications at home. Participants can also receive lock boxes and lock pouches to keep their medications secure.

SAFE & SECURE DISPOSAL

Safe and Secure Disposal gives community members a chance to responsibly dispose of unused or expired medications. By providing a safe drop-off option and access to disposal kits, these events help prevent misuse, protect the environment, and promote a healthier, safer community.

COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS

Center for Prevention Services actively engages in collaborative partnerships that strengthen community impact and sustainability. Through coalitions, task force committees, and programs affiliated with partner agencies, our team works with diverse organizations to address shared challenges and promote prevention-focused solutions. These partnerships foster collective expertise, amplify resources, and ensure that prevention messaging and coping strategies reach broader audiences.
